The Tuesday following Labour Day is a day circled on many Canadian calendars. For parents, and sometimes not a moment too soon, it’s the first day of a new school year. For seasonal enthusiasts it marks the unofficial end of summer and the start of fall.
In the golf industry it’s also an important date.
The Tuesday after Labour Day is the traditional opening day of the Spring 2017 selling season, a critical juncture for all on the manufacturing and retail side of the game especially for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) who begin unveiling new product ahead of Christmas while trying to gain traction for those launches into next season’s spring buying window. That has already started this week with a number of new product reveals.
Not so fast. While it’s easy to look forward to next year, questions continue to linger on the previous few weeks and months. How so?
